问题 1: Is it important to you to eat healthy food?
Answer #1:
"Absolutely! I think we all have to look after ourselves with nutritionally dense foods! You know, as they say, 'your health is your wealth!'. I personally try to shop for organic produce and limit the amount of processed foods I eat!"
(Lexical Resources)
Answer #2:
"Yea, I don't think anyone would dispute that! We need to make sure we are hitting our daily requirements of nutrients and try to reduce our consumption of harmful foods which are high in fat, salt and sugar!"
(Lexical Resources)
Answer #3:
"I believe so. Doctors are always recommending that we have a balanced diet and are reaching our RDA! But I think exercise shouldn't be neglected as we need to work our heart, lungs and muscles if we want to maintain good health."
(Lexical Resources)
替换建议: neglected 可以替换为 ignored/overlooked

2: If you catch a cold, what do you do to help you feel better?
Answer #1:
"Personally, I just make sure to get plenty of R&R. Maybe have some hot beverages like tea. My mum always used to make me lemon and honey tea when I was sick, so I've kept that up till this day!"
(Lexical Resources)
Answer #2:
"Hmm, good question! I really try to focus on my diet actually! I've noticed that when I eat well, I really feel a difference with my recovery. I also make sure to stay hydrated, so I drink tonnes of water, and if I can, I get myself a drink with electrolytes to replenish what was lost."
(Lexical Resources)
替换建议: tonnes 可以替换为 heaps/piles/loads/lots/buckets; and if I can 可以替换为 and if possible
Answer #3:
"Honestly, I have to admit that I'm completely useless when trying to get over a cold! I don't really do anything differently, I just wait for the cold to run its course! I know most people recommend resting, but I'm a bit of a workaholic, so I find that a tad difficult."
(Lexical Resources)
I have to admit/I must admit/to tell you the truth
解释: a tad 是 a bit 或 a little 的意思

问题 3: Do you pay attention to public information about health?
Answer #1:
"Yea definitely! I mean, I don't sit down and go through all the government's recommended guidelines, but I definitely take note of the important things like which vaccines are essential or which foods can be detrimental to our health."
(Lexical Resources)
替换建议: go through 可以替换为 look through 或 flick through; take note 可以替换为 pick up on/take notice of; detrimental 可以替换为 harmful/damaging
Answer #2:
"Mmm, not really. I find that the government public information is just a bunch of scare tactics.. I really don't buy into a lot of the ideas they're pushing. Like I think they have demonized the meat and dairy industries recently, and a lot of their information is misleading."
(Lexical Resources)
Answer #3:
"For sure. I try to keep up to date on the latest research and recommendations as I think it's important to stay informed about anything related to health. I think too many people take it lightly and don't take it seriously. I think those are the people who'll suffer unfortunately."
(Lexical Resources)

4: What could you do to have a healthier lifestyle?
Answer #1:
"Oh, I could probably do a lot of things! I really have been neglecting my health over the past few years. I think cutting down on all the junk food would be a good start! After that, I'd love to get back into doing martial arts. It was a solid workout but was practical too!"
(Lexical Resources)
替换建议: a good start 可以替换为 a good place to start
Answer #2:
"Hmm, I could definitely eat a lot healthier! Recently I've been gorging on chocolate.. I'm normally not that bad, but I've definitely been overdoing it during the holidays. I plan to switch out the chocolate for oat bars and I'm definitely going to hit the gym more!"

(Lexical Resources)
Without blowing my own trumpet/horn 或 without tooting my own horn 是一种有趣的方式,表示你即将说的话可能会显得傲慢或自以为是,这显示了谦虚
替换建议: much else 可以替换为 much more 或 anything else; a health freak 可以替换为 health nut 或 fitness freak

Part 2:
Describe an occasion when you had to wait a long time for someone or something to arrive.
You should say:
- Who or what you were waiting for
- How long you had to wait
- Why you had to wait a long time
- And explain how you felt about waiting a long time.
"So this was probably about 10 years ago! I was at my friend's house and he told me that he bought a couple of pairs of gym shoes for a ridiculous price. I can't recall exactly how much, but they were certainly a bargain! Anyway, he gave me the details of the website, AliExpress, I ordered a pair of shoes.. and that was that!
Well.. it felt like a lifetime! I think they took over a month to arrive. I guess because they were coming from China. My friend did give me a heads up prior to ordering, but I don't know.. I just assumed that mine might be delivered quicker! It wasn't a massive issue.. I wasn't in a time crunch and I'm a pretty patient person anyway. I don't think I even tracked the order. I just waited for it to arrive.
So yea.. When it arrived, I felt pretty excited and upbeat because of the wait. Now, here comes the painful part! I opened them up and they were the worst quality shoes I had ever bought! I tried them on and they honestly felt like walking on an old worn out carpet! It was devastating! But I guess I couldn't complain since they costed nothing. But you know, like my mum always says, you get what you pay for! I think it just sucks when you are anticipating something and then the outcome doesn't meet your expectation! I still wore them and got a lot of use out of them!
To sum up the whole experience, I'd say that it was an interesting trial, but a total disaster and there isn't a hope in hell that I'll be ordering from them again!"

Arriving Early
- In what kinds of situations should people always arrive early?
- How important is it to arrive early in your country?
- How can modern technology help people to arrive early?
Being Patient
- What kind of jobs require the most patience?
- Is it always better to be patient in work (or studies)?
- Do you agree or disagree that the older people are, the more patient they are?
问题 1: In what kinds of situations should people always arrive early?
"Well, I think the standout one is anything related to work! You know, if you're constantly late to work, it's inevitable that you'll get fired. If you're late to client meetings, then you might lose out on a sale or a deal, or you might even lose the client themselves. Other than that, I would say there are some different functions and events which, if you were late, would be considered very rude. For example, weddings and baptisms mean a lot to people as they are intimate and special moments. Turning up late could obviously ruin the whole atmosphere."

问题 2: How important is it to arrive early in your country?
"Hah! I think it's strangely important to us! We really take pride in our timekeeping, although I think that we're getting looser and looser with each generation. But you know, there are certain instances where it's more acceptable than others. Like when you're going to a party. People say to come at roughly 9 or 10, but generally people just show up whenever, like maybe 11 or 12. And it's no biggie.."

问题 3: How can modern technology help people to arrive early?
"That's a tricky question actually.. I mean, obviously we have things like digital alarms and we can set reminders on our calendars. There are also an abundance of apps and software these days which aim at improving time efficiency. Google maps for example, shows us routes which we can follow to get to our destination and then adds time estimates so we have more precise time readings! They even warn us of roadblocks, diversions and heavy traffic areas so we can plan our routes accordingly!"

问题 6: Do you agree or disagree that the older people are, the more patient they are?
"Yea, I'd have to agree with that! I think you definitely mellow out as you age and you are much wiser too! I've seen a big difference in my mum's level of tolerance and understanding over the years. She used to have a very short fuse, but now she's super chilled. I don't know whether it's because you have a different perspective or because you've run out of energy to get angry! Obviously there are exceptions, but I think there's definitely a strong correlation between age and patience."
